DTCUK is a charity organisation that was formed in march 2020.
Our mission is to promote community relations in a pluralistic society with educational, cultural, welfare and charitable activities including youth programs among the Dharga towners in United kingdom and always ready to support any emergency appeals back home.

During 1960s and 70s , small numbers of professionals emigrated to the UK from Dharga Town, Sri Lanka (formely known as Ceylon) and found work in the NHS and other white collar occupations. These early migrants came from affulent backgrounds, were well educated and became established in British society.
The next distinctive phaseof Sri Lankan migration to the UK occured from the 1980s onwards during the civil war in Sri Lanka.
Man Dharga Towners in the UK have found employment in professional and small businesses with increasing numbers setting up their own business.

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (ï·º) as saying:
When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased).
